Hello! I hope everyone is enjoying the last little bit of the weekend!
Recently I was asked to design a set of cards for a very special Mom I know who is far from home. I jumped at the opportunity to create fun, pretty, vibrant cards that will make lots of dear friends smile.
After much debate and “mock ups”, I finally put all the pieces together in a way that I was happy with, but it was seriously a process this time around. Does anyone else have those moments of indecision and overthinking? Sometimes I feel like a mad scientist in my craft/dinning room, please tell me I’m not alone!
These cards needed to be special, include a floral element, feature a mug and of course I had to add glossy accents to create a realistic look. To finish off the card I added Pretty Pink Posh sequins for that right amount of bling.
Tip: I chose the Hello die by MFT Stamps as the greeting on the front of the card, to add dimension I used multi medium matte to adhere two cut-outs together (Card stock: SSS Black 100 pound). I saw this done by both Jennifer McGuire and Amy R (my crafty heroes), and it just gives that added touch.
Have a great rest of the evening!
-Jessica
