Simon Says Anniversary/Wedding | June Designer Spotlight

Hi Everyone! Today I’m so excited to share a card I made specially for the Simon Says Stamp Designer Spotlight and well my husband of course. I’m beyond thrilled to be playing along for June and hope you will join in!

Anniversary/ Wedding showcasing Impression Obsession

It’s as simple as linking your project up on the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Blog and one random winner will win a $50 Gift Voucher! You don’t need to use Impression Obsession but if you have some goodies in your collection it’s the perfect time to show them off!

I started by creating a card front and die cut two A2 sized stitched rectangles in both turquoise pattern paper and Kraft card stock. Next, I placed an MFT Basic Scalloped Edge towards the bottom of the turquoise pattern paper and ran through my die cutting machine. On the Kraft rectangle, I heat set the sentiment “A Whole Year More Awesome” by Impression Obsession with white embossing powder (Adding “We’re” from my stash to complete the sentiment).

For the main focal point of the background, I die cut a heart with Bristol Smooth paper and blended using Oxide Ink in Wilted Violet. What better way to celebrate an Anniversary than with wine? I stamped images using Heffy Doodle’s Happy Snappy Croc with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored using Spectrum Noir Alcohol markers.

To finish off the card I added clear sequins, a “Happy Anniversary” sentiment strip and glossy accents to the wine bottle and glasses.
