Happy Saturday!!! In honour of autumn arriving fashionably late, I’m sharing a very pretty seasonal card featuring the Fall Designer Model Craft Stamp from Simply Stamps.
I started with a little water coloring using my Spectrum Noir Aqua Markers (any water coloring medium would work perfectly). My first step is always heat setting clear embossing powder with Versafine Onyx Black Ink. The embossed lines aren’t necessary, just be sure to heat set the ink with your heat tool to ensure it’s completely dry. I promise water coloring is WAY easier than it looks, and if you choose to emboss, the raised lines keep the colour in place.
Tip: When colouring with water based markers I use an ink block as a palette and don’t apply the marker directly to the paper.
Colours used: Umbrella: Sunshine Hair: Bark Face/Legs: Tawny Jacket: Heather Leaves: Flame Red &Marigold Boots/Purse/dress: Black
I paired the finished image with coordinating fall pattern paper and the Autumn Birdie Craft Stamp Sentiment (heat set with white embossing powder and Versamark Ink on black card stock). For the perfect “rain” effect I added a few signature clear droplets and went over the whole image with my clear sparkle overlay marker.
Thanks for stopping by!
Jessica
